Our Materials

Ethical 18k solid gold with precious gemstones

We value the resources provided by the earth and aim for our jewelry to be cherished for a lifetime, creating lasting memories.

18K SOLID GOLD

We exclusively use real, solid 18-karat gold in our collections, and each piece of jewelry will have the AU750 steel seal on it.

Due to its ideal balance of purity and durability, 18k gold is commonly used in high-end jewelry. With 75% pure gold content, it offers a luxurious appearance while still being strong and resilient. It also has excellent resistance to tarnish and corrosion, ensuring long-lasting beauty. The warm color of 18k gold complements a variety of gemstones, enhancing their natural brilliance. These qualities make 18k gold a preferred choice for crafting exquisite and enduring pieces of high-end jewelry.

By exclusively using 18k solid gold, we maintain a clear focus on creating jewelry that embodies the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, and sustainability. This commitment allows us to offer remarkable pieces that endure the test of time, celebrating the beauty of gemstones in their finest form, and providing a truly exceptional jewelry experience.

PETRALO is conscious of the environmental impact of metal sourcing and makes a conscious effort to use recycled gold for our pieces.

PRECIOUS GEMSTONES

The gemstones in PETRALO pieces are sourced globally, including Thailand, Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, and other regions using fair trade practices. The gemstones undergo precise cutting at their origin or in Thailand.

Based on our expertise, there are certain selections at the origin and color to ensure the highest quality jewelry. For example, we only use natural Australian opals, not African opals, only Sri Lankan sapphires, not Chinese sapphires, only Colombian emeralds; not Zambian emeralds. Regardless of the size of the diamond, it is all FG VS grade.

*a high-quality natural colored gemstone does not imply perfection.

It will inevitably exhibit the growth characteristics inherent to natural gemstones, including inclusions, cracks, and other unique marks bestowed upon it by nature.
